A-Zah-Zah the Great

Well, at nineteen months old, Alexander has made quite a name for himself! Well at least he has a name for himself, and he's not afraid to use it. "Azahzah" is now a very vocal part of our family and not afraid to tell us what he sees/needs/wants/is thinking about or when he wants to do something himself. "Azahzah" or "Azahzah do" gets his point across quite firmly. He also has a plethora of other words I shouldn't even try to bore everyone in listing. But it's still quite a guessing game at times, especially when things like chair, cheese, and cheerios all sound the same. And he likes to reverse sounds as in "Sasee" for Jesus, or "Totee" for Tatou. But his favorite words are Bible "Beebul" (maybe he does have some frenchy in him), "egg" and "socks." He asks little one word questions and can tell you about his day. He'll point out anything he knows from "ruvur" (river), to "church", to people and friends he knows to alphabet letters he sees anywhere- he knows about half of his letters thanks to this noisy little singing toy Nana got for him. We haven't heard too many two word expressions yet other than "Nana car" pointing to any green car, or "Totee out!" every time the kitty gets out(or gets let out by a certain tyke). But his learning and exploration is exploding by leaps and bounds. I know we don't give all the updates so often as we used to, but he's still our little treasure and amazes us and keeps us laughing every day. You will always be great to us- Azahzah :).

Hidden Lake... Again :)

Alexander and family are becoming regulars to a wonderful little spot called Hidden Lake Gardens. The spring time holds many delight of colors and smells, but fall has it own type of glory with the crunching of leaves and the crisp Autumn air. Grandpa and Grandma were able to join Nana and us on our fall trip this year and Alexander soaked up the fun of playing and horsing around with them. Up the hill, down the hill, up the hill, down the hill, good thing Grandpa is in such good shape. He certainly got his workout while there. Silly Papa decided that rolling down the hill would be much more fun except he forgot that he had just eaten a sack lunch that almost decided to visit again. Alexander enjoyed flopping in the leaves, watching a frog swim, feeding the fish, and riding on shoulders. What a day to remember. Sabbaths are truly special days and this one goes down in the books as one of the best so far. Thanks for the fun.
