When You're Too Impatient for the Big Snow...
We've been getting a little impatient around here for the big snow dumping. So yesterday, in a break from the nose-bitting temperatures, we took some moments to enjoy the dustings that we've had so far. Aidan spent most of the post-lunch galavant watching excitedly from the window. When Muma decided to bring him out, he quickly realized that watching the fun was a whole lot more comfortable than wearing the oversized marshmallow suit and sitting in the cold. Eventually, he did manage to squeak out a couple of smiles. Alexander, on the other hand, was just enjoying the wonder of the season and the thrill of the sled-pull, even when tipped over in the snow with sled flopped on top. Muma and Papa's favorite was the flat-fall backwards (Alex called it a flop) into our two inches of un-fluff preceding the snow-angel making. Oh what fun! Who needs a dumping?? :)
looks like a fun family time for all ;) should have lots of snow, snow, snow now though to really make great snow angels with. . .looking forward to a fun sledding day with A2 this season. love to all gma, gpapa
Ahha! Sledding, at least for Alex, is scheduled for Sunday 1/10 followed by hot chocolate at Nana's. I so enjoyed his two day visit here while Aidan's been sick. Loved the way he shook hands with the three men who offered at church; did great during the service, and participated pretty well in the new SS program with the Cradle Roll. We had fun stuffing a big new cats/dogs fleece pillow "nest", and following trails of shoveled sidewalk since he had no boots nor snowpants. He's eager for more snow angels. Hopefully Aidan will soon be able to try the snow again.
Snow? Just wait - it's coming! Don't know when but we will surely have a few storms. After seeing last year's video of sledding, it should be even more fun this year. Aidan - next year. Its hard to appreciate anything when you're a big marshmallow and just can't move! Love to all, Nancy
