He&#8217;s already got a running commentary on everything with sentences, paragraphs, concepts, and connections that surprise us at every turn.  Before he begins reciting Shakespeare, we thought we&#8217;d jot down a few of our favorite words he says lest they slip away entirely.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 85%;\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 85%;\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-Fakes &#8216;n Zeenies- <\/span>Raisin Bran, which just this week he now calls Fakes &#8216;n Raisins<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-noonie- <\/span>nudy \/ naked as in <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">&#8220;noonie ZahZah!!!!&#8221; <\/span>before every bath<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-Zahzah- <\/span>That&#8217;s what he calls himself, though he can say &#8216;Alexander&#8217; if asked.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-Deedee- <\/span>His name for his little friend David, that just switched to the real thing the other week.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-BupBumm-BupBumm- <\/span>Dinosaur (that&#8217;s the sound the one at Toys R Us makes when it walks)<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-Googie \/ DigDig<\/span> &#8211; Diggers, All yellow construction vehicles (except dump trucks)<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-Weeyooo Weeyoo-<\/span> Fire engine and Ambulances that are going &#8220;to hep sowwon&#8221; (the sound it<br \/>\nmakes)<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-Upsomedom- <\/span>UpsideDown<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-Kankoo- <\/span>Thank you<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-Totee- <\/span>He finally &#8216;lost&#8217; this one about a month ago;  now he does say Tatou correctly<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-Mama so kind!- <\/span>If you share something with him- like part of your snack<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-gow, gow<\/span>&#8211; That&#8217;s the garbage disposal &#8216;growling&#8217;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-woooooooo- <\/span>vaccuum cleaner<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">-sheee<\/span>&#8211; share, as in &#8220;<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Zahzah shee Papa<\/span>&#8221; handing him a half bitten, soggy animal cracker.  We&#8217;re<br \/>\nstill working on &#8216;giving others the best&#8217;.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">-amies- <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">animals<\/span><span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"font-size: 85%;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">&#8211;<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">sahny<\/span>&#8211;  &#8220;sorry&#8221;  And if you do something you would apologize to him for (like opening the breakfast fruit when <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">he<\/span> wanted to do it)  He&#8217;ll scrunch up his face &amp; eyes and whine a little fuss saying  &#8220;ooooooh sahny mama!!!&#8221;  because several times Mama has said, &#8220;Ooohhh I&#8217;m sorry, Alexander I didn&#8217;t know you wanted to &#8230;&#8221;<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Traits:<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 85%;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">&#8211; drops the &#8216;s&#8217; at the beginning of a lot of &#8216;s&#8217; words-<span style=\"font-style: italic;\"> <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">stuff becomes &#8220;tuff;&#8221; <\/span><\/span>Squirt becomes<span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\"> &#8216;quirt&#8217; etc&#8230;<br \/>\n&#8211; <\/span><\/span>puts a &#8216;d&#8217; in the middle of words that have two vowel sounds-  mail becomes <span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">&#8216;madle;&#8217; <\/span><\/span>wheel becomes<span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\"> &#8216;widle&#8217; etc&#8230; <\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span><span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">&#8211; l<\/span><\/span><span><span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">ikes to use<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"font-size: 85%;\"> &#8216;nope&#8217; <\/span><\/span><span><span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">&amp;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"font-size: 85%;\"> &#8216;yep&#8217; <\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 85%;\">-&#8216;er&#8217; or &#8216;le&#8217; at the end of the word is pronounced &#8216;y&#8217;- like <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">fingy<\/span> (finger), <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">wiggy<\/span> (wiggle), ticky (tickle), etc&#8230; (but not <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">little<\/span>)<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yah, so we could write on and on and on&#8230; and maybe we&#8217;ll add a few as we come across them, but it&#8217;s been so fun to watch all of these things take off, and all his new additions (really his entire vocabulary) astounds us everyday.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center; font-style: italic;\">Let the words of my mouth<br \/>\nand the meditation of my heart<br \/>\nbe acceptable in Your sight, O LORD,<br \/>\nmy rock and my Redeemer.<br \/>\nPsalm 19:14<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s just a little sad to see Alexander exploding with new language skills and watching his pronunciation and grammar get a little better every day.
