Saturday night Nana and Aunt Nancy joined in the decorating as we hung up banners and poms, frosted birdie nest cupcakes, and glued little tassels to party hats.\u00a0 And Sunday, family and close friends joined us for a little birdie celebration for our &#8216;tweet&#8217; little Aidan.\u00a0 We had a couple pine-cone bird feeders for Alex and buddy David to make (though Mom&#8217;s ended up doing most of the work).\u00a0 David fired up the grill for a barbecue chicken lunch amidst other yummies with much help from Grandmothers and Ellen.\u00a0 There was chatting and so many kind gifts, and of course a first serving of <em>cake<\/em> for the little one.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/winklerworldonline.com\/sda2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/4-25-10-deco-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-724\" style=\"margin: 4px;\" title=\"4-25-10 deco-2\" src=\"http:\/\/winklerworldonline.com\/sda2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/4-25-10-deco-2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"121\" height=\"121\" \/><\/a>When seated he began to cry at about halfway through his birthday song, but recovered just long enough for Muma and Papa to help blow out his candle.\u00a0 Then, with one lick of the sugary frosting, all tears quickly faded and the finger lickings ensued.\u00a0 Muma showed him he could take a <em>bite<\/em> of the cupcake and face first, he delved for bite after bite until every last crumb was cleaned off his tray.\u00a0 He was very serious about that cupcake, and licked his tray clean.\u00a0 He must take after his Papa on that one.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/winklerworldonline.com\/sda2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/4-25-10-munchingcake-16-1-12.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-729\" title=\"4-25-10 munchingcake (16-1)-12\" src=\"http:\/\/winklerworldonline.com\/sda2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/4-25-10-munchingcake-16-1-12-e1276054112935-143x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"143\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/winklerworldonline.com\/sda2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/4-25-10-munching-cake_mw-24.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-728\" title=\"4-25-10 munching cake_mw (24)\" src=\"http:\/\/winklerworldonline.com\/sda2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/4-25-10-munching-cake_mw-24-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/winklerworldonline.com\/sda2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/4-25-10-munchingcake-25-11.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-730\" title=\"4-25-10 munchingcake (25)-11\" src=\"http:\/\/winklerworldonline.com\/sda2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/4-25-10-munchingcake-25-11-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/winklerworldonline.com\/sda2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/4-25-10-presents-4.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-731\" title=\"4-25-10 presents (4)\" src=\"http:\/\/winklerworldonline.com\/sda2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/4-25-10-presents-4-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/winklerworldonline.com\/sda2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/4-25-10-zfamily-6.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-733\" title=\"4-25-10 zfamily-6\" src=\"http:\/\/winklerworldonline.com\/sda2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/4-25-10-zfamily-6-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>His birth<em>day<\/em> was a little event in itself.\u00a0 We started the morning at IHOP, where he got an extra special birthday <em>banana<\/em> and a few presents to help keep him occupied.\u00a0 Alexander gave him a fun little <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Rhino-Toys-1001-Original-Oball\/dp\/B000BNC9DM\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=toys-and-games&amp;qid=1274669643&amp;sr=8-1\" target=\"_blank\">O-ball<\/a> and Muma and Papa gave him a new and very special blankie.\u00a0 Aunt Nancy and Ellen joined Nana, Serena and 2 kiddos for a Toledo zoo day.\u00a0 Aidan&#8217;s favorite were the monkeys, orangutans really, as they put on a fantastic little family show.\u00a0 &#8220;Brothers&#8221;
