We are blessed to wonder what all the buzz is about these terrible twos, as they’ve not yet plagued either of our boys. And at two and a half we look at our little Aidan and are simply overwhelmed by his kind, gentle spirit. Stubborn, yes in his own little elements. Learning to obey, yes– the first time, an not be distracted by anything with wheels that comes between him and his assigned task. But his contagious smile, intoxicating little giggle, goofy jokes, endearing pleaful requests, bright sparkling eyes, contented happy heart… have been packaged so beautifully; this little gift has certainly a hold on ours.

Yes, what a focused little fellow; so content with vehicles,(Fisher Price circus train, metal cars, basement train table & Muma’s old FP town) books and puzzles at my house. The Thomas stories are nearly memorized, especially “A Close Shave” and “Stuck in the Mud” Now too he’s interacting more actively in play with Alex whether it’s “squirting” smelly or sticky things from long linked hoses on Tinkertoy trucks, tenting in the closet, riding on chair diggers, or blasting off in bathtub rockets. A while ago snack and Cedarmont Kids Christian DVD songs were a favorite ritual, but we’ve quit the snacks lately. They both like looking up things like bugs or rockets on the internet, playing I Spy with My Little Eye and singing. Outside sandbox, trike, swing, and balls are a hit. Aidan does have a stubborn streak in food tasting or potty times, but is thrilled at his ability to get out of the porta-crib on his own. His smile and little sense of joking melt your heart, and this little guy’s tears could win an Oscar for pulling heart strings. Aidan, you are indeed a sweetheart of a blessing! May you grow strong in the Lord and continue to be kind and loving.
