It’s official! Alexander has declared himself the newest little biped in the house! Not long after he was wobbily standing (late November), he was taking an uncontrolled step or two here or there. At Christmas time, he could cruise around- his feet playing catch up with his leaning torso in between absent furniture obstacles, or people. But it was January 2 that we officially put the “first steps” sticker on his calendar as he would walk by choice from one short place to another, and late last week / this weekend, walking is now his official transportation Mode of Choice. It’s a whole new world to see this tiny 28″ person toddling around the house (usually arms flailing out to the side or up to the sky), and he is just loving his new “big boy” status. He likes to walk in the store, around church, even out for a “real” walk (though most of the block was still in the stroller). With big grins- he gets so proud of himself and so excited about what he can do. And you know we’re still smiling in awe to see him bring us books, do a turn around, or just wander up to say hi. Oh My! “Look at him go!”
