smiles on this very bon sabbat…

There are just those moments every now and then when you just sit back and watch your little one in wonder.  Today was just one of those days where we couldn’t help but smile.  …Smile to watch Alexander share, so kindly, his magnet triangles (but “only two, Aidan!”)and his Kix with Aidan in church- careful to bite each one just a smidge to make it more manageable for him.  …Smile in response to his little voice after church is out, “I’m going to visit a little bit.” “Ok, Alex but not too long, it’s time for Sabbath School now,”  and watch him trundle out of the sanctuary to greet his favorite people.  …Smile to find him a few minutes later, already in his Sabbath School room picking out his chair, talking to his teacher, watching his friends.  …Smile when after asking him, “would you like to invite Cassidy to stay for Sabbath School?”  he disappears again, only to be found holding her hand and leading her to class.  …Smile when one more potluck table is needed how he runs to help Papa, slides the table locks into place, scurries to push chairs one by one (even lifting one to unstack it from the pile) over to the table.  “Our little Deacon in training,” says Papa.  …Smile to hear after potluck, the sounds of children playing, a Beginner Sabbath school grown from one (Alexander) to seven!  …Smile to taste and see how good our God is!  Oh my little Alexander, may your life always bring a such smiles to your Heavenly Father’s face as you have brought to us today…

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.  (3 John 1:4 NIV)

  1. Awwe! Brings those sentimental tears of joy for blessings overflowing. Thanks for sharing these precious moments-they are treasures. May they/we be ever so ready to share and serve and “walk in His truth”. Praise God for His abiding love!

  2. This is just so very very precious to read about. . . any more pics of the day?? Alexander truly does have a ‘little heart’ that is great big for doing kind things. Aidan will have such a positive role model to look up to.(Now just keep these moments in mind when the moments of pushing or such occur :}) Love to all Grammy & Grpapa
