i cannot describe how happy it makes us to have the warm spring air and long sunny rays filling our home once again. life just feels different, and smells different, and it’s like we’ve all turned a page and are staring at an unwritten new chapter. today we made our first major little-crew venture out to the sandbox with alexander’s new mud-pie makin’ table. i tossed open the sandbox lid and uncovered a whole treasure trove of buried beloved toys and pre-mud for his little heart to enjoy. but aidan barely noticed as he sat feeling the grass between his fingers, sticking his nose in it, crawling around, analyzing every crunchy leaf that crossed his path… and then he made a beeline for the clubhouse… “not today,” i had to tell him. soon he found his way back to his brother to delve into the joys that are water and sand. oh my… how happy we are for spring.
