Super Six

Happy Birthday, Alexander!  He’s so excited to be six and super excited for birthday season to begin 🙂  It was a fun celebration as Grammy and Grampapa came down on the weekend to take us all out to any restaurant Alex wanted.  He picked Olga’s– a spot Muma and he had gone on a ‘special day’ last fall, and then came home for cake and ice cream.  Muma cooked his dinner of choice on his actual day.  macaroni and cheese (of course) with hot dogs and his favorite veggies, birthday jello, and a wrap-up on his cake and ice cream.  He got some really fun presents from the grandparents and family… LEGOs, lightpegs, and LEGO lightpegs to build his wonderworld in the basement were certainly among the favorites.  This year Muma and Papa thought a little birthday trip might be a fun gift from  us, so both boys received their little toy suitcases packed with details and treasures of our westward jaunt to celebrate two special birthdays.  I’m sure we’ll post more updates on that soon.  But it’s been super fun to have a six year old in our home.  He’s growing so tall and strong, and delightful in a million ways.  You’re an amazing gift, Alexander.  We love watching you grow into the little man God has built you to be.

  1. Wow, Muma! What an awesome posting for one terrific six year old! How fast these six years have gone – filled with so many delightful memories. From the baby days of bottles and burps when Nana was the working Muma’s babysitter to the big boy Legos, reading, math, maps, more building and body acrobatics, and solving Top Secret mysteries, you’ve been a much loved treasure, dear Alexander. God has indeed blessed you with energy, a sharp mind, a caring heart, a Christian family, and the gift of two brothers for lifetime friends (even if you get mad now and then). I’m so thankful you have God in your heart and are eager to spread His good news. God will always love and be with you to strengthen you, guide you, and bring comfort to your heart. Googles of love to you from your Nana. XOXOX

  2. So VERY BLESSED we are as grandparents to watch how you, Alexander have grown and continues to do so. We enjoy moments of being melancholy reliving/cherishing/laughing/smiling at all your past pics. God has soooooo many plans for you . . . . may you continue to grow in wisdom/might/humbleness, & may we be always available to guide you, encourage you and pray for you. . . MUCH LOVE
