This January Renewal by Andersen treated it’s top performing sales teams to a repeat “Conclave” (aka trip) to Boca Raton, Florida. We were really excited to return, and recognize David’s amazing sales performance with his Andersen peers. God has blessed and provided for our little family once again, and we are thankful daily to have Serena home with the kiddos. Though it was a little cooler than hoped, we can’t complain about the sunny, gorgeous views, and beachy afternoons, while the boys hung out at home with their loving grandparents in the frozen tundra of Michigan. (Wind chills hit -20 today… brrrr)
This year we picked the snorkeling excursion again and Serena was able to join for the calming catamaran ride and explorations of God’s saltier creations in some Atlantic Reefs. As a bonus, we were gifted a sunshiney ride in a Mustang Convertible down the coast complements of one of David’s co-amazing salesmen. John told us the car would not drive with the top up, so we obliged… and cranked up the heaters. Everything at the resort was above-and-beyond, and it was such a luxury to be waited-on hand and foot. Even the sales meetings were entertaining and catered with amazing food and beverages. Sunday morning, Serena needed to relax from all the relaxing and took a dreamy spa stop- opting for a bit of pampering over the last sales meeting.
We were also really blessed by David’s company with a beautiful Friday night dinner in our room. We were excused from the Awards Gala (dining, dancing, etc…) so that we could honor the Sabbath, but they had the lovely meal including the most beautiful dessert Serena had ever seen (gold dusted chocolate Raspberry mousse!!!) brought to our room. We enjoyed our own peaceful music, each other’s company and later a quiet walk down the beach.
Our last meeting was a football party. Though we really can’t tell you who won or even played football, David reigned as RbA Air Hockey Champion, and we lost a mean game of shuffleboard with Chris and Becky. You win some you lose some, I guess.
It was a really lovely trip, and we are thankful for kind parents to watch the boys so we could enjoy this time together. I can’t say if we’ll ever make it back, but it’s been a really nice place for meeting other people in the Andersen family, and making good memories of our own. Next year, the Lord willing, we look forward to hanging out with the crew (and without the crew) in Key West, Florida. Go, David, Go!!! (click for more gallery pics in Boca)
Wow! What a beautiful retreat for such a hard-working, talented, loving, blessed couple. So glad you had a chance to get away to some warm weather time together. The Gardens and seaside views are just beautiful! Sounds like you had a wonderful time. We had a great time with the boys too.
