Going on an Egg Hunt

It was a pretty quiet Easter Sunday for us.  No fancy dinners or celebrations, but we were able to catch Nana in between IHN duties and so we headed over to her house for our fun little egg hunt.  Serena had deco’ed a dozen eggs ‘inspired by Martha’ the night before, and between stuffed eggs from both Nana and Grammy & Grampapa, a couple dozen plastic ones from Muma & Papa, and a few random ‘treasure finds,’  Nana’s yard was an hunting wonderland.  Papa hid the goods outside while Nana and Alex hid a set inside for Muma & Papa to find later, and when all was set- a very excited little boy dashed out the door with his basket in tow.  Aidan was happy to find a half dozen by the sandbox, humored Muma by putting them in the basket, and then sat down to play and dump and munch on grass.  Alex galavanted about, emptying the basket when it got too full then heading back out for more.  When all was said and done, we sat down to empty all the goodies (money, crackers, fruit snacks, a bit o’ chocolate, his very first Peep!) into his treasure basket, and sort out plastic eggs.  After an indoor hunt while Aidan had some milk, and another hide  & seek for Nana we headed home with two tired tikes, all stocked up for a week of egg-salad sandwiches, and enough potty treats to last the rest of the year.  It was a fun little event, and because Serena is in absolute awe with the fantabulistic program, Adobe Lightroom, we’ve posted an ever so spiffy photo gallery for some viewing here.
