  1. Aidan’s time from around 5:15am – 6:45am that occurs after morning nursing, but when it is still too early to get up.
  2. A time to hold affectionately close for warmth or comfort in hopes that Muma and babe will go back to sleep until Alexander wakes up.  a) Acceptable behavior for cuddle time includes: cuddling, sleeping, quiet babbling, mild burrowing, sitting, light and unsuccessful climbing. b) Unacceptable behaviours include:  screaming, pulling up to stand on Muma or Papa, crawling, obnoxious burrowing under or into Muma or Papa, pulling hair, biting, loud ramblings on, falling or attempting to fall/climb off the bed
  3. An expression used by Muma or Papa in an attempt to get more sleep, or at least rest before the full pace of the day ensues, as in:

    “shhh, Aidan, this is cuddletime.”

    “Aidan, stop crawling on Muma’s head, this is cuddletime…”

  4. The beautiful, successfully sweet snuggles and/or slumber between Muma and babe that occur from around 6:45am until Alexander wakes up.  Alexander generally calls around 7-7:30am, OR in the exact moment that Muma falls into a deep sleep.

Antonym: Playpen (as in: “Aidan, you can have cuddletime with Muma or go to your playpen.” Note on playpen time:  10-15 minutes of happy playtime followed by pulling up and loud crying for someone to come bring him into the bed for “cuddletime”)
