Alexander on the Team
This year it’s been a lot of fun having the boys home all together again. Perhaps one day I’ll get to pull together a homeschooling experience post, but one of the blessings is that we’ve been able to commit extra time to the boys and their gymnastics training. Lucas began Continue Reading
Matthai Botanical Gardens
This weekend Alex and Papa were up at Camp AuSable for the Father/Son retreat. So since we had some time today as a little crew, we tried to make Sabbath extra special with a winter afternoon outing to one of our favorite nature destinations. Weather was warm, we almost didn’t Continue Reading
Aidan digs being six!
Aidan turned six years old this spring and he’s definitely enjoying the spirit of his birthday. He wanted another ‘digger’ theme this year, and since he is such a Lego fanatic, we thought we could merge the two by bringing up all his favorite diggers for some table decoration. David Continue Reading
Our Ninja Warrior
Aidan and Alexander are both back in gymnastics this year, and recently completed the first Ninja Warrior Challenge at their gym. Aidan loves gymnastics, and had a blast doing these little obstacle courses. We put together a fun collage for him, and thought we’d share. Bravo Aidan, Mission Accomplished!
Back to Camp Alex for EIGHT!
We have an EIGHT year old in our house! And since we’ve been all a buzz this spring about Camp and summer plans, he requested a Camp birthday theme for his big day. I wasn’t quite sure how that was going to work out, but with some help from our Continue Reading
Three Cheers for Lukie!
Lucas turned three this happy December. He’s been waiting for weeks to be a ‘new number.’ He was really excited for his birthday but I don’t know if he really understood what to expect. We put up his decorations on Thursday night, and when he went downstairs, he was a Continue Reading
Christmastime Wonderweek- Christmas Program Sabbath
Last Sabbath evening was a special night for Aidan as he took part in the Christmas Cantata over at the Ann Arbor Church. To be honest, this program has been a little bit of a struggle for us. Last year, I didn’t have the children participate in the A2 program, Continue Reading
Christmastime Wonderweek- Thursday
Thursday night was Alexander’s School Christmas program! He had been preparing for weeks and was so excited (and surprisingly not nervous– did he know he was supposed to be?) for his big presentations. He knew is class song super well (he’s been singing it around for days). He had been Continue Reading
Christmastime Wonderweek- Wednesday
So… I see that the post on Tuesday took even more words that I was expecting, so I thought I’d make a new little box :). haha! But Wednesday we carried-on an at least 36 year-old tradition of punching out sugar cookies. Again, Nana popped in to help with her Continue Reading
Christmastime Wonderweek- Nana’s Deco Tuesday
Yes, we are terrible bloggers these days, but when we got out the Christmas decorations this year, and the boys came across the 31 Delights book we did a few years back, I realized how precious these little posts will be to us one day and are to us even Continue Reading
